Hello peers
I am developing my company's QC inspection procedures on our pressure vessel components. We are becoming ASME certified and are already CSA B51 for Canada.

My question is related to the ACME threading we use to secure the end covers of cylindrical pressure vessels.
The cylinder has internal ACME class 2G threads machined into the steel, and the end cover is machined with matching external threads.

What is the most simple, cost-effective method to verify the thread profile is accurate? I have not seen the requirements spelled out clearly in ASME B1.5, or if they are different because these threads are pressure retaining.

I would like to avoid Go/No-Go gauges because we use many different obscure diameters.

Many thanks for reading and I appreciate your input.

Cheers
