Friends please help me with a very tricky one.
I´m looking for a insulation material that can withstand 700 degC and 725psi in short cycles i.e opening the tank once every hour. I need to put the insulation on the inside of the tank. Any ideas of isolation material? The gas is nitrogen.

Castable refractory could take the temperature but I don't know about the suddon pressure drop. Otherwise, you may be out of luck if the insulation has to be on the inside.

WHy not a jacketted vessel with vacuum in the jacket?
