Going up to manufacturer's shop to approve vessels for delivery. Though this is not the "official" inspection (National Board) but just a good thorough visit to be sure the client will be getting what they are paying for. Besides material clarification, nozzle size and locations, and dimension checks, any other good engineering advice to be offered?

NDE and postweld heat treat records wouldn't hurt.

Witness Hydrotest
Verify dimensions
Review Material Test Reports (MTRs)
Review NDE records (UT/RT/PT/MT/PMI etc.)
Review PWHT records
Inspect weld quality/appearance
Inspect paint
Verify nameplate stamping/attachment
Review Manufacturer's Data Report (U-1/U-1A)
Confirm National Board Number assigned
