Hello Guys,
Hope you're all doing well.
In API-579/FFS, Part 4, "Pressure vessel head to shell junction" is classified to be a Type C component.
I was wondering if this applies to 1) knuckle region of the (torispherical, ellipsoidal) pressure vessels or 2) it is just the head-to-shell weld?
Similar thing is mentioned for storage tanks, where shell to bottom junction (only the weld by itself?) is classified as Type C component.
Thanks,
Tural
