Hello,
I am attempting to identify available engineering performance specifications for restraint systems of pressurized piping systems. Specifically, these restraints are intended to capture and contain post-failure components of pressurized piping systems. WorkSafeBC (Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia) has some qualitative guidance here:
I am hoping this community may be able to direct me to established quantitative performance specifications via typical Standards Organizations (ASME, etc).
Thanks

What do you mean by "contain post-failure components"? Do you mean broken piping that needs to be held down and jetting forces?.

This is well head and drilling piping systems which are often broken down and moved, flexible pipes hoses etc

If there is anything it will be API.

Don't think there are any quantitative requirements other than that listed in company specifications.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

I think you mean "pipe whip restraints". Common in pipe design for nuclear reactors. Did some of that 50yrs ago. No idea what is current practice today, but searching the term did turn up some references in this list.
