preventing rock & dirt slides

I am working on a project where we are building a 3 story-parking garage on top of a hill. My problem is that on one side of the hill there is a slope of around 60 degrees. I was wondering if there are any known methods to keep the soil and rocks on the hill. We are throwing around a few ideas. Our plan as of now is to take wire mesh and place it tightly on the hill (like they have along roads holding up rocks). If anyone has seen or heard of any other ways to do this I would greatly appreciate anyone's help.

Is the hillside slope stable. What is your setback from the sloping side. It appears you are concerned about presumably preventing loose rocks from falling off slope face. Wire mesh is often used for this purpose by fixing against slope with rock anchors etc. Howwever, I do not know what soil type is really within slope and this is just based on what I am able to concieve based ion your thread. I would strongly suggest that you have the site reviewd by a Geotech Eng for site specific advise. A three story parking garage is a significant structure which needs to be looked from both structural and geotechnical perspectives.

Even if it to confirm that there are likely to be no problems that would be well worth it. I presume that you probably have engaged a geotechnical engineer for your site investigation. He/She can provide or may have provided the pertinent recommendations already.
