Price of acetylene 1

Does any one know the price of acetylene nowadays?

I'm evaluating a process (Absorption by DMF)for recovery of acetylene from cracked gas process of an ethylene plant?

Any help is highly appreciated

I just checked my Airgas account, and the prices range from $.11/cu.ft. to $1/cu.ft. Those prices are obviously not industrial bulk prices, but rather marked-up final sales prices. Those prices are greatly affected by demand and type of cylinder, as well. Hope that is somewhat useful.

You'd be better off if you contacted Airgas, Praxair, Air Products or any of the other big hitters in the bulk gas industry. They could give you numbers that are a little closer to reality.
