Primavera P3e Installation Problem

When I try to load my 2003 version of P3e (v.3.1) on either of my laptops I get an error message reading "An application event has been intercepted. Event Code NSIS-2739-6 Type EOleException - No such interface supported." I get this message when I try to open the sample schedules or try to create a new schedule. I have a lot of experience with P3 but P3e has me stumped. Any help will be much appreciated.
