Somebody who knows if the pringle antenna can be used to improve the range in the wireless access point, and not only in the client wlan card side???????

The pringle antenna can be used in tv, radio etc, etc, etc ????

Thanks

If you can get the antenna connected properly (without wrecking the hardware), then it should work. There may be major issues with connecting the antenna (soldering, cable selection) and possibly even antenna matching. You should continue to read the applicable until you're comfortable with what you are planning.

Just remember that the Pringles Antenna is directional and will therefore only work in one direction - this may not be what you want for an access point serving multiple users in different locations. It might be ideal for those users accessing a single access point.

IIRC, the Pringles antenna is designed for 2.4GHz. So, it is not for TV, nor radio, nor etc, etc.

The Pringles Antenna certainly does *not* represent the 'State of the Art' in antenna design. There are plenty of other designs out there that may be better. The Pringles Antenna websites will link to other options.

But the connection whatever you are (client or access point) is bidirectional, because you need to send and receive data, so if the pringle is in one way, its a problem because it could receive find, but when the client side need to transmit what happen, so it is in one way it doesnt work for sharing an internet connection, am I right ????

I meant 'one direction' in the sense of "That'a way!", but bi-directional. Antennas are supposed to be reciprocal (they should work equally well for receive and transmit).
