Does anyone have this problem? And what to do about it?

1. When a print view is requested, mathcad shuts down without saving and without a warning.
2. When printing a single page or a range of pages, it prints the page(s) you requested and all pages behind it.

kind regards,

You need the M020 upgrade/patch, but probably won't get it. Read thread552-215852.

Apparently, if you write a nice, but firmly worded, letter to the CEO of PTC it will make you feel better..

The original bug as micro$oft's; print preview is a windows component; Mathcad is compiled with the micro$oft compiler; A number of other software packages suffered the same incompatibility glitch.

1/10 : could do better [PTC+ms]

You need the patch, as noted above. You'll have to pay for it though. I, and many others, find it lame that you have to pay for them to fix a mistake. Upgrades are one thing, but they should fix their mistakes at their own expense.

This bug taught me the value of random, intermediate saving of progress. 10 pages, gone. Just like that. Without even a courtsey prompt to save before closing. I know its not really THAT big of a deal to just not use print preview, but because of this bug I'm still running 13. That "pay to fix our crap programming" stuff is just bogus.

Make sure you customise your toolbar [to remove the print preview icon].
This will reduce the chance of accidental loss, where for that moment you forget and click the icon...
