Printing ALL layouts

click the first tab and then hold the shift key, go to the ending tab you want to print and all the tabs should highlight. Right click and you have the opition to plot.
The only problem is I havent found any logic to the order they print or how to specific a specific setting if one or more of the tabs have different layout settings.
But if all the settings are the same and the order they come out of the printer doesnt concern you, that should work.

Thanks for the detailed reply alex.
More in depth, does autocad 2005 fix the previous problems of the older versions? How if you plotted multiple layouts using a roll feed plotter, each "sheet" or "layout" was pushed over a inch, therefore making the option almost pointless to use.
I guess what Im trying to say is this: If my borders are cut by the plotter when printing multiple layouts (like you said above), how would I correct that?

I have found that I would have to go to each tab and set the layout, its pointless at that point I thought and gave up on the theroy. If I have to go to each sheet and set it up, why not just plot it too.
Wait your on 2005, they use something called sheet sets now, and they dont call it batch plotting. I would almost bet if you read into that you will be able to get your desired result. Type in batch plot of sheet sets in your 2005 help.....let me know, my 2005 is at home, so I can poke around too later after work

use 'sheetset', create a new sheet set with existing drawings, select the ones you want and then you have .dst file. If all your page setups are set correctly, then you can plot all of these to the plotter named in page setups, or better still create a dwt. file with page setups for all sizes, including A3 fit, PDF's, DWF's etc.
e.g I can plot all of my Mech drawings with a few clicks (without opening any of them) to correct size, PDFs etc - a very useful tool.

i set up all my sheets when i first start the drawing and then everytime there is a rev i utilize the Publish command. the only downside is that if you have a 'default' page setup chances are your drawing may get chopped off. I get that a lot on older drawings that were made by previous operators and they chose to 'wing it' when it came to plotting.
i actually started a thread here asking this exact question. i then started using the publish command, i told my co-workers about it and now the whole office got with the program. its thee way to go when youre printing an 18 page job. saves hours in the long run.

I'm using ACAD 2004 LT.
When you hit the print icon, go to the "plot device" tab. in the lower left half of the plot screen you'll see a "what to plot" section. You may select "all layout tabs" to print all tabs, instead of the default "current tab". If you want to print only certain tabs, you select the first one and then hold control down while you select others, then hit the print icon. In the "what to plot" box you'll see that "selected tabs" is the current selection. You just need to make sure you have each layout set up correctly with paper size, window size, scale, ctb file and so on.
