I'm trying to print from nx 8.5 and the lines and fonts are printing thicker than they did in IDEAS. When I compare a C size print from IDEAS to what I get from NX it's a big difference. In fact, in the tolerance block, one of the tolerance values prints so badly that I can't even see the decimal point (.50).

Any settings, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks,

Al

Take a look in your drafting views. Double click on one of your View borders in NX. Go to Visible lines tab. Then select a thinner line font. See if this works. IF so you may need to change this in you NX drawing templates that you use when you CMM your I-deas drawings over to.

You may also want to go to...

Preferences -> Visualization -> Line

...and in Part Settings, toggle ON the 'Show Widths' option as this will help you get a better preview of what the final printed Drawing is going to actually look like.

You may also want to make sure that the 'Settings' in the 'Print' dialog are not giving you wider lines than you expected.
