We recently got a new printer in our office, it is a Toshiba eStudio 3511. Since we got the new printer i haven't been able to print any old drawing that were created before this printer was installed. When i go to File/Print the print dialogue box does not apear, same happens with Page Setup and Print Preview. When i try any of these 3 options, nothing happens. It's not just my work station either, it's all of the workstations with solidworks are doing the same thing. I am able to print new drawing though that i just created. I'm running Solidworks 2005 SP0.1, Windows 2000 SP3. Anybody ever seen this problem?? Any help would be greatly apreciated!!

Thanks
Mike

When you print the old dwgs, do you select the new printer? Or just click on print?

"When you print the old dwgs, do you select the new printer? Or just click on print?"

The new printer is selected as the default system printer so i just click File/Print... and nothing happens, usually you get the dialogue box for the printer settings but i get nothing. I've tried changing the default system printer to another printer but i get the same results.

Double check, in SolidWorks do "File, Print" and see which printer it goes to. If it is the default printer selected, you may need to update the printer driver. Have you also checked with your VAR support?

But you can print other SolidWorks drawings and non-SolidWorks documents with the new printer, right? If so, it's not a network problem. If not, it could be.

Meanwhile, see if you can download any updated drivers for the printer, as ctopher suggested.

First thing SW05 SP.1 does not support Windows 2000 SP3 - you must run SP4 or higher.

Update your Windows and find newer drivers for the printer (per ctopher suggestion and Jeff's)
