Anyone know of a way of printing the parameter page? I have a large model with a few hundred parameters I want to use as the basis to create a new version, and it would be very useful to have a hard copy.

The only way I can find is to do a screen-dump, but that only shows whats on the screen at that moment, and this parameter table is about 6 screesn worth.

I think you can export the parameters to an excel sheet, but I don't remember how to go backwards from IV to excel. (normally I am going from excel to IV)

There is a column in the paramters window that looks like a spreadsheet (just before comments) and has a "export parameter" tool tip....good place to start. Sean has some good tutorials about excel sheet linking.

Yeah, I see the tool tip pop up, but it doesn't appear to do anything.

I can't believe they didn't put an 'export' function in here somewhere, but I can't find it!

I think you might need to click the "export" button on the parameters that you want to send out, and then I think you need to click the "link" button on the bottom to link it to an excel sheet.....can't remember the exact process.

Post this question on the autodesk discussion group, and I'm sure you will get the correct answer. That site has much more Inventor traffic.

has a direct link which is easier to find than trying to navigate through autodesk.

Try Anton's Import/Export Parameters to Excel macro. it exports all of the current data to Excel. Printing is then easy. You can find it on my VBA page.
