Is there anybody here using the Pro/E integrator in Teamcenter? We're trying to make a decision here about keeping Softech's ProductCenter or switching to Teamcenter.

Right now our Pro stuff is in ProductCenter. We will be switching to NX as the primary CAD software, and are aware that there is no NX3 Integrator for PC yet, meaning we will have to manually link NX files. Both new parts and existing NX parts.

Or we could switch to Teamcenter, which has a Pro/E Integrator, as well as an NX Integrator. We would have to figure a way to get all of the legacy stuff out of PC and into TC, but that's an entirely different subject.

We have many users here with ProductCenter experience, but don't know anything about how well TC works with Pro/E. We can get a demo from the manufacturer, but prefer real users experience.

Any help appreciated.

DO NOT USE TEAM CENTER! It sucks! 2 yrs experience using it it does not make sense to manage a PTC product with a ug product. It does not work well at all.

The company I work for recently went to T/C and it has been a disaster. It is truly a bad idea to use a PTC product with a UG product. I would not recomend this at all. Go with Intralink, it will work much better.

Well, we have a very unique (read: weird) situation here. Before we were purchased by Graham we used ProE and ProductCenter. When we were looking for a PDM system 10 years ago Intralink had some issues. Or so said the people making the decision. Anyways, ProductCenter has served us very well over the years.

Now that we are part of Graham, things are changing. They were transitioning from IDEAS to UG NX when we arrived. Unigraphics purchased IDEAS and is slowly integrating it into NX. We will soon abandon ProE for new designs and use NX also.

ProductCenter doesn't support the newest versions of NX, although they are working on those integrations right now. We know that Teamcenter will support ProE. Obviously not very well though, I'm gathering. Teamcenter is absolutely needed at this point to convert IDEAS parts into NX. We have committed to use ProductCenter's Workflow for our PLM system, albeit without any of our new product drawings going into that system. The whole thing is going to be messed up for the next year or two while all of the IDEAS data gets migrated into NX. We'll have both Teamcenter and ProductCenter for that time too. Not communicating with each other. Great. Somebody didn't think this through very well.
