I am in the beginning stage of developing the bi-directional transfer of placement data between my PCB design software (PADS PowerPCB and Cadence Allegro) and Pro-Engineer.

I am seeking libraries of pre-defined electrical parts such as resistors, caps, connectors, IC's, etc to be used in conjunction with the ECAD IDF import process from either PADS PowerPCB or Cadence Allegro. Before reinventing the wheel, does anyone have such a library already in process?

I realize that the name, rotation and centroid must be common between this library and that of my PCB design tool, but any library is better than starting from scratch.

TIA

Hi Platedthruhole

refer to this thread

thread554-49706 may find the libray parts, but you have to merge them with the new parts to bring in, if you don't then you will have to reassemble each part because the link is broke
