Pro/E to 2002

Help!
I recieved some Pro/E files from a customer and I need a translator to 2002. The files are in .prt, .drw and .asm format. Does anyone know know where I can get a translator, I don't have pro/e or know much about it, but I do know the customer won't export them in a dwg for me anyway. Any help would be appreciated!

Your best bet is to get you customer to export as dwg or dxf. I know you said they weren't keen but you may have to beg. Without spending a bit of money yourself on a translator (I don't know of any personally), it's pretty much impossible.

Otherwise you have a few options;
-Get Pro E, it's a great piece of software
-There is a free package called PTC express which works alot like Voloview, that could help for reading and printing the drawings.
-Get your customer to use the ProBatch utility that comes with Pro E to create a batch of DXF's (can't batch DWG). This is a pretty quick operation. Not too many users know about ProBatch. For more information on it got to the PTC: Pro/ENGINEER Forum.

Solidworks has a translator called Xchangeworks which is a plug in for AutoCad. I don't know if Pro-E files are supported but that may be another option.
