Pro-E to Inventor Translation settings?

Hello,
We have had some trouble importing our engine suppliers Step files from Pro-E into Autodesk Inventor. Does anyone have any recommendations for setting that would make for a better translation? They are axporting the assemblies as a single solid body, a few seem to work, but others are incomplete or have corrupted surfaces that Inventor won't import.

I am not knowledgable with inventor. Will it accept iges files? When I export or import to the other major 3-d systems I ussually use iges. My other sugestion is to switch to Pro-E.

When exporting from Pro/E the resulting files (IGES or STEP) are usually of better quality if the Pro/E modelling tolerance style (I forget the exact name for this parameter)is changed to absolute (instead of the default relative) priot to export.

This is especially true if the Pro/E part is a large model that has small-faced features.

Try both STEP and IGES, and export as surfaces, and as solids. This way you'll have four sets of exported files and you can compare which gives you the best quality. It is not a rule that STEP works better than IGES and viceversa, but STEP works better in some cases, and IGES works better in some other cases.
If none of the above works, export each separate part instead of the whole assembly.
The parameter you may want to try to change it is called "accuracy" if I remember exactly.
