Hi everyone.

I have created two analytical rigid plane and I am trying to use the created planes to do compression on an uneven surface of an object which is shown on following figure.

I created two reference on each plane. The boundary condition for both planes are bottom plane with ENCASTRE(fixed) and top plane with displacement compressing the object.

Besides, I assign the interaction between the surface and the plane with frictionless properties. The master surface is the analytical rigid plane whereas the slave surface is the surface of an object.

However, it failed to work as job aborted. Anyone has any idea and help me on this? thank you very much.

Hi IceBreakerSours,

I dont get what you mean by assigned interaction in the normal direction.

I already assigned between the surfaces of a rigid plane and the object.

The error shown to me is too many attempts made for this increment.

The result is diverging and there is no results shown.

I wonder is there away to do compression test on an even surface of an object?
Thank you.
