thread561-195620 Hello to everyone!
I have a problem with NX when I try to import an image to a plane.
When I do so (visualization->raster image),it doens't show anything of the photo (letters, schemes, colors etc.)
but a grey 2d photo with the specific dimensions that I gave.
I want to put the logo of the company to the 3d assembled product..

I would be gratefull if you could help..

Thanks in advance!

To see the image you must be in Studio mode. Place your curor over the background of the graphics screen, press MB3 and select the Rendering Style -> Studio option.

Thanks for the answer, but it didn't change anything..

Could you post the image file so that we can test it?

The image is "32bit depth". ( Rmb in windows- properties - details.)
I saved it in Paint Shop Pro with the default settings, it then got 24 bit depth which i believe is what NX likes.
I have no clue on what 32 bit/24 bit means on Tif images, just know that when one renders an image in NX it will be 24bit.
It now works fine.

And btw, when creating the raster image, increase the "Maximum texture size" , it will then look far better. ( Should be how much memory that can be allocated to display the image)
"4096" looks quite ok on my screen.

Many thanks!
I spent many hours dealing with this..

I think there's a problem with the size of the image file. I opened it in Microsoft Paint and simply refiled it doing as 'Save-As' and it reduced the size of the file from 19+MB to just over 1MB but WITHOUT changing the actual pixal count or, from what I can tell, the appearance, but more importantly, it now works fine with the 'Raster Image' function. Attached is a copy of the new image usable file.

I thought this also and I tried to import other, different images and actually it happenned the same.
That's why I concluded that there is no photo's problem..
Anyway, now looks fine, except 1 more thing that I would like to ask.

When I m going to edit shade (true shading editor) it changes the shade of the image to metal (sth),
that I chose for the sheet metal that the image is on (generally for the hole assembly).
I can't find any option to disable it and to be orange like before shading editor.

Thank you very much..
