Problem in running abaqus

Hi,

I am facing a strange problem in Abaqus.

I am doing an eigenvalue analysis of cold-formed steel columns. The column is a 1200 mm long lipped channel section with a 100mm deep web and a 50mm wide flange.
I have provided 3 eigenmodes. The global mesh size is 5 mm.
When I started running the job the job status is always running

However, in the command window, I can see it is showing,
Job Linear: Abaqus/Standard completed successfully.
If I go to the result, the result is also showing.

However, I can not do a nonlinear analysis, as the linear job is always running.

I have attached the screenshot, as a ready reference.

Any help or direction will be highly appreciated.

Does it happen when you restart your machine and Abaqus and then try submitting the same job again ? Or is it an occasional problem ? You can try submitting the job outside of Abaqus/CAE (using command line).

Thanks for your response.
It happened when I restart Abaqus and try submitting the same job.

I did this because initially, I requested 6 eigenmodes and the job was always running. I thought it might be because of more number of eigenmodes.

I then closed Abaqus and reopened the file in another directory. I reduced the eigenvalue number to 3.

Then submitted the job. Still, the same problem I faced.

Any direction?

Could you also let me know the procedure, how I can submit the job outside of Abaqus/CAE (using the command line)?

Running the analysis from the command line and monitoring output files (sta, msg, dat) seems like the best idea in this case. Open cmd or Power Shell (assuming that you use Windows) in the location where input file is stored and use the following command: abaqus job=input_file_name interactive

[FEA way]

This appears to be a machine-specific problem. Did you try running any other Abaqus analyses on this computer ? If other cases work, try simplifying this model until it solves without errors.
