Hi all,
I'm trying to simulate a 3D tunnel excavation and I want to use the ALE adaptive mesh technique on the tunnel boundary and particularly on the peripheral nodes of the tunnel face. The problem is that I apply a boundary condition to these nodes and nevertheless the nodes do not exactly obey to the applied boundary conditions.
I want these peripheral nodes to come back to their initial configuration and although they reduce their magnitude of displacements (due to the applied boundaries), they do now return back to their initial configuration but to something else.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
