Problem opening drawing from the model

I have a problem with a link from a model to a drawing. If I have the drawing open, I can open the model from the drawing. However, if I have the model open and try to open the drawing from it, then it doesn’t have the link.

The model is 242 0XXX. The model has two configurations- 0100 and 0125. I have made a drawing for the 0100-242 0100. The drawing looks correct, and I can right click on the views in the drawing and can open the model. However, if I have the model open, and I go to the tree and choose Open Drawing, then the Open Box comes up to let me choose what drawing to open. I can scroll down to the 242 0100 drawing, and it opens correctly and everything looks correct. But my coworker says that you should be able to open the drawing directly from the model, and I can’t figure out how to get it to link properly. Even after I scrolled down, chose the right drawing, and saved, then closed everything down and tried it again, it still came up with the Open box, so there still doesn’t seem to be a direct link.

If anyone knows how to fix the link, I would appreciate it.

Nevermind, my coworker is an idiot and didn't know what he was talking about. I can't open the drawing from the model automatically because it's impossible to have that links since the names of the model and drawing are different. He was driving me crazy making me think I was an idiot for not getting it to work right, before I talked to someone from Solidworks support who confirmed that it's impossible.

Drawings have links to the models, but models do not have links to the drawings. However if a drawing has an identical name as the model and is stored in the same location, SW will find and open the drawing.

Ha, ShaggyPE, it's usually not so bad, but sometimes talking to this one guy is like talking to a wall.

CorBlimeyLimey, that makes sense, and I think I got it worked out now.
