Hi there,

I have use of a computer that I share with one of my colleagues. I use ABAQUS for my FE modelling; the software was working fine until 2 days ago. When I tried to start Abaqus CAE the other day, I got an error message and I was not able to open it. The message starts with: "'import site' failed; use -v for traceback" and referred to a "Python27" folder.

when I checked with my colleague she said that she had installed Python recently (on the day I discovered the issue). So I assumed that the newly installed Python may have interfered with Abaqus some how. So I reinstalled Abaqus in the hope that would resolve the issue. However, I still get the same message and am unable to start Abaqus.

I was wondering if any one else has come across this issue before or if anyone knows how to resolve it. I'm not too familiar with Abaqus so your help will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Reihaneh
