What version of Pro?

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

Are you running FlexLM locally or from a server?

Is your HD formated to NTFS?

I hade the same problem. Do you have more then on network card?
If go into the regediter and set the number name on the card you are using to lowest value.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\NetworkCards

If that don’t work tray to disable media sense.

This is how I was able to install the software on the personal computer:
Shutdown firewall software, do not install Licensed Server (ignore FlexLM warning), and then install. The program doesn't work with firewall on or while you are connected to the internet.

Hi
Wildfire does not run on xp as on nt !

If search path is used the responce increase from typical 4 minutes to 2 hours.

Install a virtual network card of "microsoft loopback adapter" kind in your pc.
control block--add hardware--next-yes,the hardware has been contected,next--go to the bottom, click the words"add new hardware equiment",next--install hardware i choose from the
table,next--network adapter,next--choose the microsoft loopback adapter.next--ok.that is all.
when installing wildfire, enable the virtual network card.
that will be ok.
