Hi colleaugs
I recently change my os from xp 32 bit to 64 bit as you know it runs faster and better. but i have problem with abaqus installation.
i completely install visual c++ .net 2005 and intel fortran 9.1 and abaqus 6.8 but when i use abaqus verification it doent go well. i try to set enviroment variables like in win 32 bit but xp 64 bit has to "PROGRAM FILES" and "PROGRAM FILES (x86)" and i dont know how to set the enviroment variable correctly.
the abaqus verification gives these failures:

Requirement: Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 Edition, Windows XP
Professional x64 Edition or Windows Vista x64 Edition

Status: Pass - Found Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Service Pack 2 (Build 3790).

Requirement: Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0
Product: All Abaqus Products
Status: Pass - Found .NET Framework Version 2.0

Requirement: Microsoft Visual C++ 8.0 (.NET 2005)

Status: Fail - Unable to locate or determine the version of a C++ compiler on this system. If Microsoft Visual C++ 8.0 (.NET 2005) is installed on this system, please load vcvarsamd64.bat file before running Abaqus.

Requirement: Intel Fortran Compiler 9.1 or 10.1
Product: Abaqus make utility with Fortran and Abaqus with user subroutines
Status: Fail - Unable to locate or determine the version of a Fortran compiler on this system. If Intel Fortran is installed on this system, please load ifortvars.bat before running Abaqus.

For my install all of the files needed (except for the Abaqus files) are in the ..\Program Files (x86)\ directory. I don't remember if the path is the same after that but you can just a quick search for each of the to make sure.

hope this helps

thanks dan
i try both of program files and program files (x86) but it doesnt work.
i would be happy if any body gives me the envitoment variables maybe mine are wrong. I'm not very good with these stuffs.

Help me

If you didn't install the compilers in their default directories you probably will have to search for them and then use those paths instead of the defaults.

If you did install the compilers in their default locations then you probably should talk to the help desk to get it straightened out.

Have you installed the 64bit version of the compilers???
