I run an Amada Apelio 3 2510 laser/turret combination machine. It was running fine until we started getting an assist gas pressure below minimum alarm. First thought was we were out of liquid oxygen. Checked this and our tank is still full and feeding the required pressure to the machine. We do not use any other assist gas. We called Amada and they said most likely our solenoid was bad. We replaced this and still are having the same problem. We still can't get the machine to cut. It alarms out with the below minimum error before we can even get it to pierce. I was told that the hyper regulator could be the problem, but we don't want to spend $2450.00 on a part that might fix it and might not fix it. Anyone have any other suggestions or is the hyper regulator our best option?

We just went through the same thing with our Amada Fo3015 NT. We kept finding brass shavings in our filter and finally replaced the regulator and that seems to have fixed it to be able to run. but we still have the brass in there. can you post a pic of the regulator?

Ah, brass shavings. You must have an EZ-CUT.

In this situation, best thing to do is have someone watch the regulator on the bottle. If it drops way down, your machine is "starving" for gas. If it holds steady, you might try physically moving the has hose that connects to the machine from oxygen to nitrogen. Then you just change the gas kind to 4 in the cutting conditions.

This isn't a permanent fix, just a way to troubleshoot.
