I have got the model to run using Abaqus/Explicit, general contact.
For the interaction property I have Tangential Behaviour with a Friction coeff of 0.3, and normal behaviour of a hard contact. Ideally I want to have truss elements behind the block to determine the stress in them as the car hits the wall however first I want to get the model to run properly. Currently it runs wih no errors but the part keeps moving away from the wall, I want to the model to hit the wall and stay in contact, for the normal behaviour however I had to allow seperation after contact as the model would not run without being on. From what I have learned from googling this issue I need a rough contact but I cannot find examples of how to do this.

Attached below is the file if anyone feels like trying to work with it.

Contact problems are a new area to me and any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
