Problem:
a contactproblem between two bodies.
After plotting cpress the curves oscillates.
I think it has sth. to do with the meshing.
with normal meshing the curve looks smooth. But with more finer meshing it looses the smothness.
How can I fix this problem in Abaqus (CAE) ?

Hi,

You can always use filter to make a curve smooth.
In Abaqus/Viewer you can operate on xy data, one of the operations are SAE filters.

To get a more specific answer please provide more information.
1. Switch to surface to surface contact
2. Make 2 copies of the contact with the master slave reversed on 1
I hope this helps.

Thanx.
I have already switched to surface to surface.
the smooth function helps, but if the smooth-factor is very small, e.g. 0.01 the max. value gets smaller because of the
smooth-function.
