Problem with dual monitors

I'm running SW 2004, Win XP, on Quadro FX500 video card.

In addition, I installed a RIVA TNT card from my old machine to run a secondary monitor. This card used to be the primary SW card on the old machine (the secondary monitor was run off an integrated video card on the old motherboard).

Problem now is, the secondary video card refuses to display Solidworks and even the Solidworks Viewer. Neither drawings nor models will display in the graphics area (toolbars and other 2d stuff displays fine).

This happens no matter which card is set as "primary" in Win XP display properties. The secondary card always gives a black screen (yes, even the FX500 if the TNT is set as primary).

The old machine worked fine except, of course, the integrated card could not display 3D. But drawings would display fine using both SW and SW viewer. All while running SW on the primary card.

I've have the latest drivers for both cards running.

My goal is to run SW on the FX500 and SW Viewer on the TNT card. Any ideas?

From my understanding of running Dual monitors. You need one graphics card that Supports Dual monitors. Not 2 separate cards in one machine.

I'd like to reiterate that all other applications run fine with my current dual card/dual monitor setup.

My previous dual card/dual monitor setup worked fine too (including SW and SW Viewer).

I'm wondering if there is a "trick" to get, at least, the SW viewer to work on the secondary video card.
