Hello to all,
I have a problem with enforced rotation with my FEA model. I'm using NX/Nastran and I'm trying to perform a SOL601.
I have 2 solids bodies (tet10 mesh) and 1 body is completely fixed (no rotations and no translations) and the other one must rotate of 180°. During rotations there are contacts between the bodies.
I have determined a point at the center of the body that must rotate, and I have connected this point to the external surface of the body using a "point to face" RBE2 connection.
Then I constrained the point with "User Defined Constraint" in all translations, and rotations are constrained in x et z (the rotation is effectuate around y axis).
Then I defined the "Enforced Displacement Constraint" (180° in 10, I defined a table) on the point on the y rotation DOF and I solved.
I set 20 steps of 0.5 and I set AUTOSPC in "Solution Parameters" too.
The solutions shows that the body doesn't rotate ! I have the impression that the central point rotate but the RBE2 aren't connected to the body, so there isn't rotation ! If I edit the "Post View" and I set (in post processing) "Deformation --> 1% Model" nothing is passing, no rotations. And if I set "Deformation --> 1% Absolute" the body doesn't rotate but his diameter increase ! I've already performed a simulation where there was an enforced rotation. I've constrained the model how described over there and all was fine, the simulations worked. I don't understand why this time the simulation doesn't work.
Please help me afro Sorry for my not perfect english , best regards !
