Hello guys,

I need help with I-DEAS NX 12. I have just installed it but why do I keep getting error message 'Detected loss of communication with I-DEAS license daemon'?

I have attached some pics that show the problem that I had, so that maybe you guys have some what is exactly happening.

Can anybody tell me, is it because of the license or the server?

This is my first time I installed it, so perhaps you could be specific in explaining stuffs.

Thank you so much.

not knowing you set-up, I would guess that you are not connected to the server running the licensing or you have lost your drive mappings. Or you are not pointing to the correct param file.

Try adding the system variable UGII_LICENSE_FILE=27000@SERVER (where SERVER = the hostname of the machine running the license server. This variable is normally set in the registy on install).

hello guys.

i tried to install I-DEAS NX12. But when i want to start it the typical error 'loss of communication with i-deas license daemon'. I`m having OS Windows XP SP3. Can anybody tell me, is it because of the SP3?.

Thanks you

I doubt its a sp3 issue.

Is the license server running?

Does the LMSTAT command return the appropriate information about you license? is it a connection issue?

Can you ping the license server?

is the issue only with this PC? do all other pc's work fine?

is the license server on the same computer?

could be an issue with the setup of the license server.
