my company is getting started using this software and is having a big problem with importing correct geometry from another UG modeling file. Right now there is a ug model with 2 bodies in the same file. This file is then linked to the MFG file where is creates a spun outline of the part. For some reason the geometry is getting screwed up. When the bodies are united somehow it is fine, but when they are separate sometimes the area they mate up can have a divet, the surface goes off at an angle or other radius are off. It seems like it can be on an area that the bodies aren't contacting like its shown.
I personally think its a problem with some sort of tolerance on the spun outline, but I don't have access to the license for NX CAM. I need to know what can be causing it and how to fix it.
I attached a file showing a portion of the body and an example of what surface can be effected. I need 2 bodies because one body gets bonded to another and then machined. They are both different materials and need to be machined differently. I think it is best illistrating that with 2 bodies instead of 1.
