The software is Autocad 2004.
I am not the one using it, so the following details are all I know.

The bottom Status bar, where it shows Target, Coords, and then the SNAP|GRID|ORTHO|POLAR|OSNAP|OTRACK|LWT|MODEL buttons, get's overwritten sometimes.

I haven't been able to pinpoint when it is doing it to him, but I have seen it after it does. It shows various pieces of information, overwritten along the entire bottom line. It will look something like this (having the Target, button labels, and some of the Dsnaps shown in text):
DRAWINGNAMEGOESHERSNAPORTHPOLAOTRACLWTVERIOUSOTHERS
Just spread along the bottom status bar line, making it impossible to use the buttons for the items mentioned above.

I can try and get a screen shot if that isn't desciptive enough, or too unclear. I was hoping someone would know right off though on how to fix this somehow. Thank You all in advance.

Are you running some custom programs? They are probably writing to the status line. You can reset the status line to blank by typing "MODEMACRO" then ".". But to prevent it, you'll have to find the culprit program.

No custom programs CarlB.
Just a plain Autocad Mechanical 2004 installation.

try typing
including the brackets and see if that restores it.
I agree with CarlB ~there's something in your system causing it and you need to find the culprit

The "MODEMACRO" "." worked to clear it out.
I even noticed it done it on me yesterday, and I am using a standard installation of MDT6.

I think it may be the Autodesk Power Pack that installs with both pieces of software.

I will have to watch that line when I use the Power Pack commands.
