Hello. i get this error when trying to set up a tie between the individual parts (surfaces):
***WARNING: OVERCONSTRAINT CHECKS: NODE 192469 IS USED MORE THAN ONCE AS A
SLAVE NODE IN THE *TIE KEYWORD. THE CONSTRAINT BETWEEN THIS NODE
AND THE MASTER SURFACE WITH NODE 500058 IS REMOVED.
***ERROR: OVERCONSTRAINT CHECKS: NODE 192469 IS USED MORE THAN ONCE AS A SLAVE
NODE IN THE *TIE KEYWORD. REMOVE MULTIPLE USAGE OF THIS NODE AS A
SLAVE NODE OR COMBINE THE MASTER SURFACES TOGETHER AND USE THIS
SURFACE INSTEAD.
***NOTE: DUE TO AN INPUT ERROR THE ANALYSIS PRE-PROCESSOR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO
INTERPRET SOME DATA. SUBSEQUENT ERRORS MAY BE CAUSED BY THIS OMISSION
is there any way to mitigate this problem in the INP file, as i am editing the model that way.
I think the error is due to a node beign a part of 2 slave surfaces at once (?), as i have a highly complex geometry. can i just delete it from the surface nodeset (i doubt it though)?
does anyone know any other way to fix the problem?
the *TIE command is surface to surface, abaqus cae (standard).
