Hello,

I have just installed SDRC I-DEAS NX12 M2 to my laptop.

I have installed everything that is required to run I-DEAS JAVA,Orbix and SFAM.

Everything seems ok until it asks me to run TDI wizard. For this one, I have come to a stage where it asks me username and password for Heteregenous Team Account. I have no idea what this is and I tried to look for it in the copy that I have but it is to no avail.

I have attached the message screen of what I have encountered, maybe it gives you an idea of the problem I had.

This is my first time installing a CAD software. So, I really hope you can be details in your advice/tips.

Thank you very much.

One way or the other you opted for a hetrogenious install for the team data. This means that you are planning to run i-deas on both unix and windows machines in some sort of network. Most of the time the team data will be on a unix box running something like samba or some other file share program. I expect that the login screen has to do with the fact that sometimes windows logins do not communicate that well with unix and visa versa.

Ok, I have figure that one out.

But, it seems that another problem arises.

I have attached a pic of every steps that I took to get this problem sorted out.

But when everything seems fine, I tried to run it, and it give me the error message as you can see in that folder.

Do you know why?

By the way does anyone have a user manual for I-DEAS installation?

Any helps would be much appreciated..

Well i-deas is from the unix age therefore you can not use spaces in file paths.

The installation manual is included in the documentation (cd). I still have printed versions from the good old sdrc days.
