Hey guys,

i´ve got some problems with my simulations.

I want to simulate the densification of a sample by a spherioal tie. For the type of the sphere i choose ANALYTICAL RIGID an the sample is a deformable body (all in 3D). Then i defined a frictionless contact for interaction properties. For interaction i choose surface-to-surface (master:sphere_surface, slave: sample_surface_top). The step is STATIC, GENERAL. I just want to translate the tie for 3mm into the sample (by constrain the refenrecepoint ot the tie).

My problem is that the defining interaction didn´t work very well. The intersection between the bodies is very strong and the simulation just abort. Is the way i tried to define the interaction between the sample and the tie right? Or does I have to change it?

you can find my inputfile in the attachement ;)

Thanks for your help

The analysis completed when I run it. In general the mesh is very coarse in the contact area, so the results don't look good.
