problems with 'subtract' function 3

I am trying to subtract the volume of an upper jaw from an extruded block. However whenever I try this, the finished block just has an outline drawing of the extracted shape but it hasn't physically removed this volume from the block (pictured attached).

I have tried using the subtract function on simpler examples such subtracting a sphere from a cube and this works fine. Do my problems come from the point cloud from the upper jaw drawing or am I missing something?

Make sure that your 'tool' body is actually a SOLID and not a sheet body.

and if it is a sheet body you may be able to use Trim instead of Subtract

If you fold a piece of paper into a box, it's still a sheet body. The last sewing operation must both be able to check that the volume is "watertight" and also have the option "Type = Solid" active. It will then convert the sheet body into a Solid body.
The difference is mainly that a solid body is considered having a volume which a sheet body hasn't. )
If one subtracts a sheet body from a solid body, it will act as a "splitting knife" but it will not remove any volume.
