Dear Members I have received one WNRF Flange SA 182 F53 1"#150 B16.5. In MTC specification given ASTM A / ASME SA 182 F53 (UNS S32750) But on Flange physical marking found as ASTM A182 F53. With reference to SA 182 Cl. 19 (A961), can i accept material ? As product marking on flange not co-related with MTC. Rest of marking are as per product marking .

Yes. F53 is physically stamped on the flange body and is UNS S32750.

Mr metengr thanks for your reply but MTC IS CERTIFY ASME MATERIAL (SA182 F53) but physical marking on flange is only ASTM (A182 F53)

Ahhh, I misunderstood your post. If you are reviewing the SA 182-14a material specification in the 2017 Edition of ASME Section II, Part A, below the title

(Identical with ASTM Specification A182/A182M-14a except for the inclusion of Grade F316Ti in 7.3.1, and the removal of reduced strength levels for Grade F53 in Table 3.)

The difference between ASTM and ASME specs really means a reduced tensile/yield minimum strength is specified in ASTM for section thicknesses over 2" while ASME requires the higher strength the higher values for lower thickness specified by ASTM to be applied to the entire thickness range.

Hi every body thanks for reply but only my intention is to know product marking is not matching with MTC reference to SA961 . As MTC is certifying ASME materiaL (ASME SA 182 F53)
WNRF_bw9qpw.jpg
& Physical marking on flange has HARD STAMPED as (ASTM A182 F53). Please refer attached MTC & PHYSICAL MARKING ON FLANGE .

Since the flange is 3/4" thick, ASME and ASTM specs are the same so the MTC listing SA 182 is acceptable even if it is not on the hard stamping.

Mr mrfailure Thanks for your reply But Suppose this a U Stamp job AI will not accept this material in my view as product marking as per SA961 CL- 19 not co-related with MTC . Moreover for ASME STAMP job if you want use this material from ASTM YOU have to recertified as per ASME Sec II Part- A TABLE II-200-1 by comparison chart . For example SA182 (87a through 14a).

This material can be dual certified as ASTM/ASME.
