Hello All,

Once again I want to do something in ProE the way I know how to do it in SolidWorks. Usually, my problem is that ProE has an equally good, but different method to get the same result. I am making models of the human femur bone and I would like to use an image as a reference for my sketch.

The only way I can figure out how to do it is to extrude a plane behind my part and apply an appearance to it. This bothers me for a few reasons:

1. I have to make a feature that has no inherent value and I delete or suppress afterward.
2. I do not have total control of the image like I do in SolidWorks. Scaling it, rotating it, etc. I have to change the extrusion dimensions to scale the image.

Is there a better way? Here is a link describing the method I have used. (Just because I don't want people assuming I thought it was a good idea to do it this way)

Thanks in advance,
Josh
