Hello, I need to design a mechatronics/electromechanical prototype and I would like to make as many digital simulations and tests as possible before building it. The problem is that I need to control the behaviour of motors, servomotors and linear actuators from an external program with a graphical interface, which also receives the information about position, speed and acceleration from the ProE simulation, and can be used to control the real design once it's been built.
The mechanical design in ProE and external programming (ingluding graphical interface) is not a problem. But I would like to know which is the best way to set up this environment and how I can communicate ProE with my external program: web services? socket communication? standard input/outputs?
