Hi

I am working on an isomerization(PENEX) revamp, is there anyone who has made an PRO2 input of an isom unit. I would like to basically check my setup.

thanks

have done some calcs in different parts of Penex unit(s) in ProII. All depends on what you intend to do and your objectives with the simulation.
In general Penex units are "easier" to define since it is component based supported by a complete set of analysis.
If yuo are in a revamp situation normally UOP is quite helpful in providing their guidelines for conditions applicable that can tune your simulation for the best.

Thank you very much for you reply.
We are looking at the vapour pressure of isomerate. The aim of the study is to reduce the RVP of the isomerate stream by taking a side stream from the reflux stream from the overhead drum, i.e. reflux flow to the stabiliser column will reduce. If the isomerate RVP is reduced the product will be more valuable and what we will do with the sidestream is another 'project'.
I would really appreciate if you could send me a penex pro2 input. Can I send you my email adress. We are at the moment doing an initial study afterwards UOP will be consulted.
I am thinking of pro2 model from driers and downstream.

Thank you very much

Is there anyone who can help me in this matter.
I am sure that I can help in exchanging some of the pro2 models i have for other units.
Thanks

I assure you that there are many folks out there who can help you - they do it for a living :)

Best regards
