Project self-changing resources

Hi guys,


Bit of a novice with Project and it is doing something weird that is stumping me. I have assigned some resources as materials - say about 12 different items. I assign these to their relevant tasks, save and close the project and all seems well. At a later date I have then come to use the resource information and Project has by itself changed many of the resources I have assigned to a different resource (all the same).

Very frustrating - anybody familiar with this error? Any solutions?

Would it be possible to provide a small example + explanation of the behaviour?

Why an easy solution if you can make it complicated?
