Project View options

Hi,
in the Project View options, there is an options that I don't know what does.
Can someone explain me when use it ?

In the case of a Projected View, you can define an actual hinge line, a vector about which the view if rotated 90° other than just the normal directions. In that case you can again either have a view Associated to the 'Hinge Line' or not, depending on the setting of that Associative toggle.
