Projrct management organization software & PDAs?

Does anyone know a program similar to Outlook or Maximizer that is directed in the project management realm? I find Outlook to be underfeatured and while Maximizer is great as a contact, communication and time management tool, it is obvious that it is a sales directed tool.
Also does anyone know of a good PDA which has a decent project management software? I don't want full on microsoft project, but some sort of stripped down mobile version.
