ProNest 7 User Drawn Lead-in/out

In my ProNest 7 help file, under Advanced CAD import Settings, there is an option for user drawn lead-in/lead out.

My question is what format do I need to follow to add lead-ins/outs to my .dxf files? Do they need to be on a specific layer, etc?

Does anyone happen to have a sample file they could share with me that has lead-in/lead out built into the CAD file?

Regards,

You just need to draw them on the same layer. Import the part without lead-ins to see which direction your internal and external cuts are going. It will automatically set your user drawn lead-ins & lead-outs in the default direction of the cutting head.

So if I have a 90 degree corner and I want straight lead-in and straight lead out, do I just extend the line of the part or do I draw a separate line to represent the leads?

Draw a seperate line to indicate the lead-in and lead-outs. What type of cutting machine are you programming for?

When you import the object in and select the material it will ask if you want to change the lead-ins and lead-outs. Make sure you say no or it will overide the dxf user defined lead-ins.
