Has anyone specified timber elements to be proof tested as per AS1720 App. D?

I have existing trusses which are to be re-used and I don't know the stress grade amongst other things. Does anyone know of an acceptable means to establish the stress grade on-site.

If the trusses can be proof tested, what needs to occur for the proof testing to occur. Does the testing need to be performed by a person with some sort of accreditation?

My approach would be to get the timber visually graded and then determine the strength by calculation.
There are qualified graders out there, visual grading is done to AS2082 or AS2858 (hardwood and softwood respectively).
