Proper nomenclature for control cable

Can someone help me with the proper nomenclature (or vendor) of a component?

There is a flexible cable scheme (think Teleflex) that instead of a simple push-pull operation, drives a sort of pinion gear, the cable itself having a spiral-wound wire that acts as the "rack".

If you are a British car guy, you will be familiar with the Lucas windshield wiper rack on many "Classic" automobiles.

If you're an aviation engine guy, a similar cable drives the manual operation of the Honeywell TFE 731- xx Fuel control.
