I am researching a ceramic processing method, firing a clay product to approx 600 C to provide a stable semi-porous raw material product.
The raw material is a combination of Clay, Calcium Carbonate, Alumina, Manganese, Pottassium, residual fines and some organic matter.
What is the criteria for specifying raw materials suitable to road and civil construction?
Does porosity aid drainage and make such materials more suitable?
What if the product were totally impervious to water? Would it be more favourable for these purposes.
I look forward to an avalanche of informed assistance and direction!
Kind Regards
Rohan
