DIN EN ISO 898 back in 1999 reportedly had properties of screws at increased temperatures.
The informational values were hot yield strength for classes 5.6 thru 12.9, up to 300°C.

As of 2009 Annex B is much less satisfying, only stating " Up to typical service temperatures of 150 °C, no detrimental effects due to a change of mechanical properties of fasteners are known.
At temperatures over 150 °C and up to a maximum temperature of 300 °C, the functional performance of fasteners should be ensured by careful examination."

Unbrako lists an "operating temperature" for their unplated ally steel SHCSs at 550°F.

Does anyone know of a source of comparable "informational" information for Imperial fasteners Grade 5 and 8 ?

thanks,

There may be an EN 12xxx standard (don’t know the exact number) I have at work that goes into this. I’ll look into it tomorrow once I’m at my desk. Have you checked if the application standard (e.g EN 13445 or 13445) has additional information?

Found it. Have you checked if EN 10269 may be of any help? Another source may be EN 1515-1 or EN 1515-4.
